A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to non-existent addresses under the very same domain name. For instance, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can receive emails from partners or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all mailbox with ease in case you’ve got a shared web hosting plan with us. The Email Manager in our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel is full-featured, yet very simple to use, and it will enable you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with no more than several clicks. All the email addresses that you have created will be enumerated alphabetically in this section and to the right of each one you’ll see a mini "Catch-all" icon. Clicking on it once will enable this option, clicking on it once again will deactivate it. Since you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will inform you if you’ve already got another one with this feature enabled or if you have enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be enabled without any effort if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you have created with the domains hosted in the semi-dedicated server account will be listed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll see a tiny button conveniently situated right next to each one of them. With only a click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with the option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and activate this feature through the contextual menu that will come into view. In case any of the conditions for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will let you know, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
